I recently read and article about a woman who went blind because she was a victim of an acid attack. If she gets her way, the attacker will receive the same fate that she did. I think this is a crazy though and she is obviously not thinking clearly. She realizes the suffering that she has gone through and she has to be crazy in order to want to put someone else through the same feeling even if they did do something wrong.
Hi Adam,
ReplyDeleteWhy did the woman in the article get attacked with acid? Who was her attacker? What was the motivation? Was it a mere accident? I am intrigued!
Could you revise this post so that you include a link to the news story at the top? Thanks!
You say that you think the woman is crazy for wanting to retaliate. Did the person who threw acid at this woman get arrested or punished in any way, or is the person on the loose? If the person was not punished for significantly harming someone, or if the person's sentence was too light, I could definitely see why the woman would want her attacker to be punished this way if justice does not prevail. To lose one's sight is to lose a livelihood and a quality of life that cannot be replaced.
Sincerely,
